Physical Examinations and Vaccinations
We recommend scheduling your healthy dog, cats, rabbit or ferret for yearly physical examinations. Regular check-ups are as important to our pets as they are to ourselves and our children. An annual veterinary exam establishes a baseline when the animal is healthy and allows for the early detection and treatment of hidden diseases. We recommend that you bring in a stool sample to check for hidden internal parasites and we may recommend testing for Lyme disease and other tick-borne diseases that are common in Western Pennsylvania.
Depending on the age and overall health of your pet, we may also recommend testing blood or urine samples to make sure that nothing is missed and that we can diagnose and treat anything that we might find as soon as possible to ensure the longest, best-quality life for your furry family member!
